Our highly trained neurology specialists can provide unparalleled care because BVNS is the only private neurology practice in the Mid-Atlantic with both high field MRI and CT capabilities onsite, providing rapid, accurate diagnoses for thorough, definitive treatment. BVNS is also one of only a few centers in the country at which advanced imaging, electrodiagnostics and spinal fluid analysis can be performed under one anesthesia and immediately interpreted by an experienced, board certified and renowned expert in neurology. Any needed surgery can also be performed under this same anesthetic event.
The advantages to such a comprehensive continuum of care are significant:
- A patient can be seen the same day that a primary care veterinary calls with a referral.
- High field MRI, CT, or both if necessary can be performed the same day as the examination and combined with CSF analysis, electrodiagnostics and,when indicated, neurosurgery, a preferred process for the safety of the patient.
