Dr. Wood was born and raised in Georgia, and she received both her undergraduate degree and her DVM from the University of Georgia. Dr. Wood completed a small animal internship at Cornell University’s Hospital for Animals, followed by a one-year neurology internship in private practice. In 2014, she graduated from a residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced at a busy specialty hospital in North Carolina for six years prior to working at BVNS. Dr. Wood has a strong interest in immune-mediated neurologic diseases and neuro-oncology.
